A Day in the Life of a TTT Markets Funded Trader

The version sold on social media involves a penthouse and six monitors. The real one involves a laptop, a shift job, and about ninety minutes of attention a day.

A day in the life of a TTT Markets funded trader is worth describing accurately because the gap between the two versions puts people off. Traders assume they are doing it wrong when their day is uneventful. Uneventful is the point.

Marcus trades gold and EURUSD on the 15 minute, around logistics work with shifts in it. The details below are his, and they are deliberately unremarkable.

Before the Session

Twenty minutes, most of it checking rather than analysing.

Economic calendar first, filtered to his currencies. He is not forecasting the numbers. He wants to know whether anything lands while he expects to be holding.

Then the dashboard. Current drawdown, how much daily loss allowance he has, anything left open. He reads those figures before he looks at a chart, because they determine what size he can take rather than the other way round.

Then the two instruments he trades. Levels marked, nothing else. He does not scan twenty markets looking for something to do.

The Session

Two hours at most, usually London and New York overlap.

Most days he takes one trade. Some days none. He has stopped treating a day without a setup as a wasted one, which took him longer to learn than anything technical.

Size is calculated per trade, not carried over from yesterday. Risk in currency, divided by the stop distance, divided by the pip value on that specific instrument. Gold and EURUSD do not take the same lot size and he no longer assumes they do.

Once the trade is on, he does very little. Stop and target were set before entry, so there is nothing left to decide. Most of his historic damage came from managing positions after entry rather than before.

Two losing trades and he closes the platform for the day. That rule is why he is still funded.

What He Does Not Do

He does not watch the position tick by tick. He does not add to losers. He does not move a stop further away because the trade needs room.

He does not trade the first move after a data release. He is allowed to, since news trading is permitted, but he found it consistently cost him.

And he does not check his floating profit as though it were money. It becomes money when the trade closes and the payout clears, not before.

After the Close and Across the Week

Ten minutes. Trades logged, screenshots saved, and one column recording whether each trade was in the plan. That column is the honest measure of how the week is going.

He reviews weekly rather than daily, because a single day is noise. Monthly he compares his live costs against what he assumed when he built the system.

Payouts get requested on the normal cycle. KYC was completed the week he got funded, which is why his have not been delayed.

Conclusion – A Day in the Life of a TTT Markets Funded Trader

A day in the life of a TTT Markets funded trader is about ninety minutes of mostly administrative work built around a small number of decisions made in advance. There is no intensity in it and no drama. The traders who keep their accounts are usually the ones who found that acceptable.

FAQ – A Day in the Life of a TTT Markets Funded Trader

1. How many hours a day do funded traders trade?

Less than people expect. A focused session plus half an hour of preparation and review covers most approaches.

2. Can I trade a funded account around a full time job?

Plenty do. Pick a session that fits your schedule and trade that one consistently rather than trying to cover all of them.

3. How many trades a day should I be taking?

However many your strategy produces. Taking extra trades to feel productive is one of the more reliable ways to breach a daily limit.
